November 20th 2006 – EIBS is pleased to announce that Somerset County Council (CC) has recently chosen EasySite CMS to power a number of new sites that provide information and services to the people of Somerset.
The County Council creates strategic plans and programs that support the more than half a million residents who live in Somerset. Somerset CC aims to make a difference to the people of Somerset by undertaking programs and improvements in areas such as environment, education, culture, social care, transport and communities.
Somerset CC required a solution that was easy to use for non technical authors and required minimal training to get started. EasySite’s intuitive interface and 100% front-end authoring made it the perfect CMS solution to assist Somerset in achieving its web plan goals.
By selecting EasySite Community Somerset CC will have the ability to run unlimited multiple sites from one version of the software. EasySite will be used not only to the power the main Somerset CC website, but also their intranet and a variety of charity, voluntary and public sector websites for organisations operating in Somerset.
