30th January 2008 - EIBS is pleased to announce that West Dunbartonshire Council have launched a new site with EasySite CMS. Building on EIBS’ extensive local authority experience, this is the first Scottish authority website to be powered by Easysite CMS.
West Dunbartonshire Council aims to improve services for local people through strategies including; the regeneration and development of the local economy, the promotion of health, well being and life long learning and the development of children and young people. The Council aims to provide high quality, best value services for the community.
EasySite Community allows West Dunbartonshire Council to run multiple sites from one version of the software. EasySite CMS will power the main council website and intranet in addition to a variety of charity, voluntary and public sector websites for organisations operating in the area.
West Dunbartonshire Council chose EasySite for its ease of use and the ability to add modules to the core system such as Event Calendar, Directory Builder, Discussion Board and Vacancy Database. Importantly EasySite CMS provides a solution which fully adheres to accessibility, interoperability and compatibility guidelines.
A full partnership approach has been adopted which includes training and a 3 year support and maintenance contract.
David Walsh, EasySite Sales Consultant remarked “We already have a number of local authority clients and we are pleased to be able to build on this experience to work in partnership with West Dunbartonshire Council on the launch of their new site.”
