NHS in Nottingham

The NHS in Nottingham consists of numerous partner organisations that are committed to improving the health of local people.

The Requirement

The Health Informatics service, which is part of Nottingham NHS wanted to provide up to date information via the Internet to the local community.

The Solution

After a formal tender process Nottingham NHS chose EasySite CMS to create and maintain their new website.

As one of the core requirements of the hospital was to provide up to date information, it was important to enable staff memebers within the organisation to manage and maintain the site.

EasySite allows non techincal Users to create and maintain the site, ensuring new information was added on a regular basis and that all current information was up to date and relevant.

Initially the core website consisted of the one main site with integrated custom databases providing information on local health amenities such as, doctors, opticians and dentists.

The site has gradually been enhanced and now provides a vast amount of information for a wide audience. Currently each department maintains their designated area of the site, which is then filtered and moderated by a senior administrator within the Nottingham NHS.

There is a number of partners that maintain designated parts of the site, which enables the Trust and it's partners to have web presence and provide information relating to:
