Skills for Logistics, the Sector Skills Council for the freight logistics industries, presents its new look website – www.skillsforlogistics.org. The new site is intended to be more user-friendly with increased functionality including search facilities and improved navigation, along with a redesign to complement Skills for Logistics’ corporate brand.

“After three years the content had outgrown the original website design, and a revamp was required in order to increase the functionality and ease of use,” commented Colin Johnson, Marketing Manager at Skills for Logistics. “The new website integrates with our Customer Relationship Management system to enable a two way process between visitors and our organisation, with sophisticated searching functionality making it easier to identify related content, and plans are in place to develop further interactivity such as online polling and discussion forums.”

In the future, Skills for Logistics will be developing online communities for a range of audiences, such as Affiliates and Training Providers. These will be accessible through a secure password system and provide advanced access to research and other specifically targeted information.
