8th October 2007 – EIBS LTD, one of the UK’s principle content management providers, is pleased to announce the launch of a new website that offers information on the Neighbourhood Development Company (NDC) initiative. The newly launched website, www.ndcnottingham.org.uk has been created to inform site visitors on development programmes for the Hyson Green & Radford areas of Nottingham.
Nottingham NDC was awarded £55 million in March 2000 to make a difference to the lives of the 9000 people who live in the Radford & Hyson Green area, by working alongside them to change things for the better. The programme is based around six key areas which shape the work NDC does, in partnership with the local community and the public and private sectors. These include:
• Business and Employability
• Education and Learning
• Housing and Environment
• Health
• Community safety
• Arts, Sport, Leisure and Culture
Powered by EasySite CMS, the NDC offers a range of information including programs, news, events, annual reports and publications such as Front Page the local community magazine. The site provides the local community with information on the improvements that are taking place in there area as well as initiatives that they can participate in.
The NDC website forms part of a wider neighbourhood portal, which will be accessed by residents via a wireless network, making it easier than ever for local people to access services and information, and to report incidents.
“We are very pleased with the new NDC website. The NDC through their programs and funding are making a real difference for the people of Hyson Green and Radford. Their new site provides a powerful tool for spreading their message to their local community and beyond.” Comments David Walsh, Sales Consultant, EIBS.
Farrukh Tariq, NDC’s Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “The ease of using EasySite has made the NDC website more accessible to staff members. It is a system that authors are comfortable with, which will mean a much more informative and interesting site for the reader. We hope to take the capability of Easysite further by introducing virtual tours and on-line bookings.”
