Customise your site registration process
Within EasySite you can create as many different levels of group membership as you require. You can also fully automate the membership registration process using the Registration page element that visitors can use to create their own account within your site. The Registration element is configurable - allowing you to decide how new registrations should be handled (i.e. whether new registrants should automatically be put into a membership group that has rights to access restricted content), or whether you manually verify all new registrants before granting restricted content access rights. In addition, the system will send a verification email that ensures the registrants email address is valid. Registration can also be limited to people who have email addresses that you give ‘whitelist’ access to – allowing for example only people with .gov.uk or .nhs.uk email domains to register. All of the emails that the system sends to registrants and internal staff are fully configurable.
Capture the visitor information most important to you
The registration form is also fully extendable using the EasySite Form Builder – allowing you to capture additional information about the registrant. As standard, the registration form captures first name, last name, email address, username and password for new registrants – but you can extend this to include any other fields as required.
