Blogs - Say more online.

Blogging

The Easysite Blogging module allows you to create and manage web-logs on your Easysite powered website. Blogs can be displayed anywhere on your site by simply dragging the ‘Blog’ element onto a page or into a template.

Standard websites only offer one-way communication as a medium. Adding a blog however is a great way to engage with your visitors and to encourage them to revisit your site. By regularly updating your blogs with interesting and relevant content, visitors will have a stream of fresh communication to absorb, which they in turn can offer their opinion on, thus creating a two-way communication medium.

Blogs also offer you the chance to establish your credibility and expertise as an organisation. Blogs aren’t for promoting your organisation, your website is for that, use your blog to comment on issues in the wider industry. By commenting on developments, trends etc. you can portray your organisation as an important industry leader.

The most recent posts will be published on the blog page, with older posts filed in an archive area. Bloggers can choose to categorise their blog posts with their own choice of categories or predefined ones. Visitors to the blog can search for posts by: ‘most recent’, ‘month’, ‘year’ or ‘category’.

Make your organisation a more open and friendly place for your online visitors, keep them informed, engaged and more importantly, keep them coming back with the Blogging module from Easysite.

Give your Staff a voice

The Blogging module lets you create and manage as many Blogs as you need. You could have a blog for the Chief Executive, the Directors, different departments or even for every member of staff. By having select points of communication from different levels, you personalise and open up your organisation to your stakeholders.

Empower Authors

Bloggers don’t have to be Easysite users. You can allow an individual Blogging permissions without giving them any Easysite CMS access. Once you’ve assigned that individual he or she is solely responsible for their blog posts, creating content and posting regularly. Administrators always have the ability to moderate and edit blog posts if required.

Let Visitors have their say

Each individual blog has the option of allowing visitors to add comments under each post. You can set your ‘allow comments’ permissions to let either members of the site (i.e. individuals who have registered online) to post, or alternatively you can choose to make them completely public and allow anonymous visitors to comment. By allowing visitors to have their say, you’ll make them feel their view is important, engage with them and encourage them to come back.

But stay in control

Each blog, although administrated by its blogger/s can still be moderated by an overall Easysite user (typically a manager). This ensures the Easysite user maintains complete control and the option to review any blog posts prior to them being published. Further to this, anyone able to edit a blog, whether an Easysite user or Blogger, has the ability to moderate any visitor comments posted under each blog. This ensures that any potentially inappropriate messages are not published on your website.
