Events - Create searchable calendars to promote your organisations events.

The Events module allows you to create and publish searchable calendars on your Easysite powered websites, intranets & extranets. Event entries can be categorised so similar events are matched by kind, e.g. seminars, briefings, exhibitions and training courses.

Events supports a number of different fields including: event name, description, date, time, cost etc. Assets such as images, PDF files, spreadsheets, etc. can also be added to Event entries to provide further details for that event.

Events gives you the option to display your event database in different formats and entries can be uploaded by either Easysite users or public members of your website – with full approval management prior to publishing live.

Multiple events can be imported all at once via a CSV file upload and Event entries can also be exported and downloaded in a range of formats including: XML, ASCII, CSV and Unicode text files.

Get promoting the events that are important to your organisation and its stakeholders with the Easysite Events module.

More than just a date

As well as standard event details such as time, date, name, description, entry fee etc. the events module allows you to attach assets to your entries. This enables you to say and show more about your events; for example you can add: pictures of attendees, a PDF document detailing the running order of your event, or a spread sheet containing contact information for key personnel are all possible, plus more besides. Events really does let you do more.

A self-sufficient calendar

Events can be saved based on their category or by their date. You can grant permissions to registered users which allows them add their own event entries to your database. This is ideal for organisations with large memberships who host regular events, which are de-centrally organised, or for organisations who want to empower members to contribute to web content without needing to grant them any CMS access privileges, as Events can be created direct from your web pages.

Stay in control

Even though you can grant permissions to registered members, so they can add Event entries, organisations who wish to check all content before it is published online can do so through Easysite’s workflow system. Workflow creates a tired management level so a registered members’ entry will be held until they have been seen and approved by an Easysite user. Ensuring important dates such as, product launches, conferences, meetings etc. require approval from a managerial level .

Style options

You can add a search box to your event calendar database, an essential bit of functionality for large databases. Multiple Event databases can be added to just a single page if required and each database can be displayed in ‘list’, ‘table’ or ‘super-grid’ (i.e. Outlook style) format depending on your layout/design preference.

Stay in the loop

Events allows visitors to subscribe to an RSS feed which will update them with event entries directly to their desktop or mobile device.
