Glossaries - promote a better understanding of your words, phrases & terms

Ensure your terms are understood with the Easysite Glossaries app

We all want to be understood...

If your website frequently uses potentially complex words, phrases or terminology, you can improve your visitors experience by using the Easysite Glossaries module.

With Easysite Glossaries you can define any number of  dictionary terms and give each a standard, centrally controlled, definition,.  This can include  images or other assets from your Easysite Asset Manager, as well as a key hyperlink to the most authoritative page on your site, or an external one such as Wikipedia.

Applying definitions to the terms on your web pages couldn’t be simpler, just click the ‘glossarise’ button when creating or editing a web page and Easysite will scan your content for any matches, highlight them and let you choose whether or not to glossarise the term.  Alternatively just set the module to apply to all content automatically , ensuring your definitions are available wherever each term is published.

Now when a customer comes to your site  your most important terms appear with their definitions readily available.

Create an entire dictionary of terms

With the Easysite Glossaries module you can create and manage an entire dictionary of key terms, phrases, products, features, services.  Whatever your website focus, Glossaries will assist your visitors and customers with making more informed decisions, by finding the right information and above all ensuring you convey exactly what your content means.

Manage centrally - publish locally

With the ability to manage a central dictionary of terms, you can publish to one site or to all sites within your Easysite environment.   What's more, publishing couldn't be easier as the glossarisation process is built right into the Easysite Content Editing toolbar - just click  the ‘Glossarise’ icon and Easysite will highlight all the terms within the content where there is a current definition available - allowing you to choose whether to publish the definition via a handy website ‘tooltip’ balloon.  It’s as easy as spell-checking.  You can even set Glossarisation to be an automatic part of the publishing process with all terms instantly published without any further work for your content authors or administrators.

Understanding - the key to engagement & enlightenment!

By ensuring your customers can discover exactly what is meant by complex or industry-specific terms, you can ensure better understanding.  And by including images and links to the most relevant page on your site, or even on an external site - you can better promote your products, services and information sources.  As well as glossarising your content in-situ, the module also lets you make your entire dictionary of terms available on a single page that's updated as soon as you create or edit any of your terms.
