NHS Choices - Making syndicating NHS Choices' content easy

NHS

Quickly add NHS Choices content to your website

  • Find Services
  • Health A-Z of Conditions
  • Live Well
  • Works with Easysite Mapping module

The Easysite NHS Choices Module enables Local Government, NHS and other organisations to quickly syndicate content from NHS Choices (choices.nhs.uk).

Designed as an extensible framework for Easysite Web CMS the module allows instant access to the Health A-Z; Live Well and Find My Nearest services all through a single, drag-and-drop interface than non-technical authors can rapidly configure to show as much detail as required on their websites, intranets or extranets.

Drag-and-drop simplicity

Simply drag and drop the NHS Choices module into a page then choose your content source.   Choose from Find My Nearest, Health A-Z of Conditions and Live Well

Find Services

Choose Find My Nearest Services  and you can add a searchable database of health service providers to your site.  Select any combination of the 300+ services available from NHS Choices.   You can add the module to any of your pages – allowing, for example, a General Practice page to only search for GP Practices.   Your visitors can now search by simply entering their postcode and optionally a radius in which to find matching services.  The details are returned for each relevant match and links are provided automatically to their full NHS Choices profile page.

Add maps in a snap

Easysite NHS Choices module works seamlessly with the Easysite Mapping module, allowing you to choose to display services as pinpoints on a map using Google Maps or Bing Maps.

Health A-Z of conditions

The Health A-Z of conditions lets you add NHS Choices Conditions content to your pages– letting the visitor easily navigate the A-Z to reach individual conditions and then articles relating to the condition.   You can choose to syndicate content from any level within the entire NHS Choices health A-Z content schema – this lets you use the module on your page and make the entire content navigatable from a top-level A-Z; or display just those Conditions for a single letter; or those articles relating to a single condition; and even right down to a single condition.   Use the module on as many pages you  need and simply click your preferences for what to display.   The full content of each article is then available directly from within your site, including the wealth of video content produced by NHS Choices.

Live Well

Live Well adds the wealth of healthy living content produced and syndicated by NHS Choices to your websites.    Similar to the Health A-Z the Easysite NHS Choices module gives you complete control over which Live Well topics and articles you want to make available on your site.   Perfect for health campaign sites for example, giving you the ability to choose all of the ‘Good Food’ content for a healthy eating site.
